Emotional moment for Marist U-18 captain

Benjamin Naivalu next to the U18 Deans trophy

It was an emotional moment for the captain of the Marist Brothers High School U-18 team Benjamin Naivalu as he led his victorious side into the Vodafone Arena to celebrate their Vodafone Super Deans title today.

Naivalu says it's an honour for them to be acknowledged for their achievements.

He says his parents were emotional after seeing him leading the team into the arena.

Naivalu says he had promised his parents that he will bring the Deans trophy back to Marist Brothers High School.

Naivalu hopes his brothers will retain the title next year.
