Minister for Education Premila Kumar has confirmed that they are reviewing the history curriculum for schools.
While speaking at the launch of the Girmit celebration today, Kumar says it is unfortunate that our children learn the history of other countries but not our own.
She says this change will be brought about to understand each others history so that unity can be maintained between the different races in Fiji.
Kumar says they will be doing this through proper consultation.
