People living in the Naboro and Navua areas are advised that there has been a temporary power disruption from around 9.07pm last night, which is still ongoing.
Energy Fiji Limited states that the affected areas include parts of Navua — from VITI Corp to Nakavu Village and parts of Naboro — from Kalokolevu to Navatulevu Farm.
They also state that the outage was caused by a fault on the Hibiscus–Wailekutu 33kV underground cable, which tripped due to an overcurrent.
EFL says the outage has affected areas supplied through the Wailekutu Substation and the Deuba Power Station.
The company also outlined its immediate response efforts, ongoing fault location works, and current restoration progress.
EFL adds that the fault resulted in a loss of power supply to both the Wailekutu Substation and the Deuba Power Station
