A truck brought down live power lines along Gaji Road in Samabula in the last hour.
The vehicle struck the lines while driving uphill, causing them to hang dangerously low above the road.
Energy Fiji Limited has confirmed to fijivillage News that a team has been despatched to the area to assess the situation and carry out repairs.
Members of the public are being advised to remain vigilant and avoid the affected section of Gaji Road until authorities declare it safe.
