Power supply has been restored to the thousands of people in the Central Division who were without electricity since around 10am today.
Energy Fiji Limited CEO, Hasmukh Patel says ground teams worked around the clock to fix faults across multiple fronts which caused power disruptions.
Patel has apologised to all Fijians impacted by the disruptions which he says was beyond their control.
Earlier today, Patel told us two hydro gensets at Wailoa Power Station had gone offline.
He says teams were immediately deployed to identify the source of the disruption and work began to bring power back to Fijians.
