SODELPA General Secretary, Lenaitasi Duru says the party stands by it’s decision to ask the Speaker to vacate SODELPA MP, Mosese Bulitavu’s parliamentary seat as he went against the party’s instructions, and this will not be entertained.

Duru says while the party instruction for all SODELPA MPs to oppose the National Budget and Bill 17 went out on the Tuesday of that Parliament week, Bulitavu still supported the Bill later in the week.

When asked on Bulitavu saying that the FijiFirst has the upper hand going into the next elections, Duru says it is unfortunate he is saying that but SODELPA is ready.

Duru also says Bulitavu should not say that it is unbecoming of the SODELPA Leader, Viliame Gavoka to say that the FijiFirst should give Bulitavu a ticket in the next election, when Bulitavu himself embarrassed the party.

He says they will soon start the investigation process to decide on Bulitavu’s expulsion from SODELPA.
