The Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua women have defeated the Brumbies 21-15 in Round 3 of the Super W competition.

Both the Drua and Brumbies started the game with errors due to the slippery ball from the wet conditions.

The Brumbies scored the first try, and they led 5-0 at half time.

Vika Matarugu, the captain of the Drua side scored the first try in the 44th minute giving her team the lead at 7-5.

Brumbies flanker Siokopesi Palu scored a second try, helping the visitors lead 12-5.

Indiscipline led to the Drua receiving their first yellow card to Loraini Senivutu for a late tackle.

A second yellow card was given to Nunia Daunimoala for a late shoulder charge.

Drua winger Vitalina Naikore displayed her speed, scoring a try to narrow the gap to 14-15.

The Brumbies failed to capitalize on their possession and did not score any more points, while the Drua sealed the victory in the 80th minute with a try from Salanieta Nabuli.

The Drua womens will play Western Force next Sunday at 8:50pm.
