The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will take on Moana Pasifika in the 2026 Shop N Save Super Rugby opener in Lautoka on 14th February.

With the rest of the 2026 Super Rugby Pacific fixtures to be announced shortly, Drua fans will be glad to note the season will get underway at the team’s “Fortress” – Lautoka’s Churchill Park.

Going into their sixth season, the Fijian Drua currently have the better record against Moana Pasifika, winning four of six encounters.

This opening match not only marks the start of the new season but also highlights the fierce rivalry between the Fijian Drua and Moana Pasifika, making it a must-watch live event for fans.

Fijian Drua Head Coach Glen Jackson says they can’t wait to open the 2026 season against the Pacific brothers at our fortress in Lautoka.

Jackson says it’s always a fierce contest when they meet, a true reflection of the passion both teams bring.

He adds starting the season at home, in front of the world’s best fans, is the perfect boost for their campaign.

Last season, Moana Pasifika secured a win in front of an electrifying sold-out crowd at North Harbour Stadium in Auckland and their Head Coach is looking forward to the challenge the Drua team and their fans will bring to this match.

Moana Pasifika Head Coach Fa'alogo Tana Umaga says they are deeply connected with the Drua being the only Pacific Island teams in Super Rugby Pacific.

He says it’s always exciting playing against them and to start the season with a match in Fiji is going to be special.

The Churchill Park Fortress is the Fijian Drua Men’s most successful venue, having won 10 out of 12 matches held there since 2022. The team is currently on an impressive 9-consecutive straight wins at the Fortress and beat Moana Pasifika 40-35 the last time the two teams played there.

The Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific 2026 full season schedule will be released at 12pm on Thursday.

All home game tickets will be available for sale from December 1st 2025.
