Drua and Moana Pasifika to receive financial assistance from World Rugby

The Fijian Drua and the Moana Pasifika will be receiving financial assistance from World Rugby to participate in the Super Rugby Pacific.

World Rugby Chairman Sir Bill Beaumont says they will support with a 1.2 million pounds annual funding package over an initial three-year period.

He has also congratulated the Drua and Moana Pasifika on their inclusion to the Super Rugby.

The Fiji Rugby Union will soon make further announcements following confirmation that the Fijian Drua have been included in the Super Rugby Pacific for next year.

CEO, John O’Connor says they will also reveal where the Drua will play their home games as the Drua will be entitled to host 7 games.

O’Connor says they have a few issues to sort out due to COVID-19.

The Drua will be joined by the Crusaders, Blues, Chiefs, Highlanders, Hurricanes, Melbourne Rebels, Brumbies, NSW Waratahs, Queensland Reds, Western Force and the Moana Pasifika.
