Minister for Agriculture Dr Mahendra Reddy withdrew his comments about SODELPA MP Lynda Tabuya where he insinuated that Tabuya was dressed like she was in a flea market.

Dr Reddy highlighted this when to give an update in parliament on how has the Ministry assisted farmers in purchasing fertiliser during lockdown.

Tabuya raised a point of order saying that Dr Reddy’s comment was totally unparliamentary and offensive.

She also questioned why the Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum was laughing when she was raising this point of order.

Sayed-Khaiyum then clarified that he was not laughing at Tabuya but at SODELPA MP Salote Radrodro.
