Dr Cikamatana commends Bright Journey Team for life changing eye surgeries in Fiji

The expertise, compassion, and tireless efforts of the Guangdong Province and the Bright Journey Medical Team have brought hope and healing to countless individuals, making a tremendous difference in those they have served through sight-restoring surgeries.

While speaking at their welcoming reception, Ministry of Health’s Acting Chief Medical Advisor, Doctor Luisa Cikamatana says the team’s generosity and dedication are commendable.

Dr Cikamatana says their ongoing support and collaboration, especially in healthcare, have significantly impacted the lives of many Fijians.

Cataract surgeon Doctor Huang We Young says it is an honour for him to come to Fiji and help people with eye infections.

Dr Young says he is willing to return to Fiji to assist those affected by eye disease.

He adds the team has completed 50 surgeries over the past two days.
