Minister for Agriculture, Waterways and Environment Doctor Mahendra Reddy says comments by NFP Leader Professor Biman Prasad are unpatriotic.

While speaking on the Investment Fiji Bill, Doctor Reddy says no one would want to come and invest in the country if Professor Prasad stands up and starts running down the country.

Doctor Reddy says Professor Prasad went all over the place in his contribution but he did not talk about increasing the investment rate.

He adds we are at 16.3% in our investment to GDP ratio and we need to get to at least 25% which is the benchmark of developing countries.

Professor Prasad had said in parliament that when state institutions are not run well, not efficient, do not demonstrate credibility and fairness it does not create trust in government and the confidence in the country.
