It is do or die for the Labasa women’s team as they take on AS Academy Féminine in their third group match of the inaugural OFC Women’s Champions League in Papua New Guinea.

They beat Kiwi FC 6-0 in their opening matchbut suffered the heartbreak of a last minute 1-0 loss to Koloale FC in their second match on Saturday.

The format of the tournament, five sides playing four round robin four matches each means a second defeat for Labasa would effectively rule them out of title contention.

Labasa coach Arthur Simmons says his side’s depth is really being tested as he prepares the players for a third match in six days.

He says they will have to make some changes because the team has a few injuries in the squad.

Simmons adds their opponent AS Academy Féminine have rested so they are going to be fresher than his team.

Labasa takes on AS Academy Féminine at 7 tonight.
