Digicel Fiji has lit up Fiji’s biggest Christmas tree at Damodar City in Suva today to help re-connect friends and family through their various promotions.

CEO, Farid Mohammed says the lighting of the Christmas tree signifies the beginning of Christmas and Digicel is offering more data and fantastic deals across their range of prepaid, home and entertainment offers to their customers to help them re-connect with their friends and family this Christmas.

He says they know that people have come through a tough time this year and they want to bring back the fun and joy back in the lives of their valued customers.

Mohammed says as part of the promotions, Digicel is giving away $50,000 in cash and other prizes through the ‘Shake to Win’ promotion on the MyDigicel App.

He adds customers can win shopping vouchers, domestic family holidays, Christmas gift hampers and a grand prize cash giveaway.

Mohammed is encouraging customers to get a free Digicel SIM with free 2GB of data to start using and experiencing their data network.

People were treated to the festive cheer with a Christmas choir, live music from Fiji’s Vude Queen Laisa Vulakoro, well-known local musician Elijah and entertainment from the VOU dance group.

There was a special appearance by Santa and lots of excitement for children with free candy floss, popcorn and face painting with Christmas gift giveaways.

The lighting of the Digicel Christmas tree illuminated Damodar City giving people a sense of joy and hope.
