The Viti Roofing Devo Babas have extended their lead in the Fiji Bitter 7s Series points table after claiming 75 points following their triumph in the 38th Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s over the weekend.

The win has also boosted their morale heading into this weekend’s 49th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s which will be held at the HFC Bank Stadium.

This weekend’s Marist 7s will also be the last tournament of the series for the season and the Devo Babas are in a strong position to claim the series with the winner to be awarded a prize money of $10,000.

Paradise Beverages sponsorship and events specialist Alfaio Tekavei has highlighted that with 95 teams confirmed to participate in the three-day tournament this week, the competition is expected to be intense as winners earn their bonus points.

The 49th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s will kick off this Thursday and run through Saturday at HFC Stadium.
