Minister for Education, Premila Kumar says they will be making another announcement soon which will be related to the reopening of schools for students from early childhood up to Year 11.

Kumar says teachers would also be wondering whether they will be going on a break and she will be making some announcements soon.

While speaking to students and teachers at Sigatoka Andhra Sangam College, Kumar says we are not in a normal situation where school dates are published in the calendars and we should not expect things to be the way it was before as they have to work based on the guidance from the Ministry of Health and scientific evidence.

Kumar also urged students not to be shy in approaching their teachers if they need any help and are unfamiliar with any concept.

She also told the students to reach out to their head of school if they need any kind of assistance and students should also speak to their friends, teachers and parents about their issues.

Kumar handed over $1,200 worth of industrial arts tools to Sigatoka Andhra Sangam College.
