Ba soccer player, Sanaila Waqanicakau scored the only goal as defending champions Yalalevu FC beat Nalovo FC of Nadi 1-0 in the opening match of the Vodafone National Club Championship.
Waqanicakau scored the goal in the 40th minute.
Yalalevu also had the services of Malakai Tiwa and Shivneel Singh while Nalovo had reps like Vereti Dickson, Josua Tawake, Napolioni Qasevakatini, Sakaraia Naisua and Vuniuci Tikomaimereke.
In another match, hosts Green Star FC from Nadroga and Press FC from Lautoka are currently locked at 0-0.
Press FC has reps like Peni Finau and Zibraaz Sahib.
