Health Ministry's Chief Medical Advisor Doctor Jemesa Tudravu.

The Health Ministry's Chief Medical Advisor Doctor Jemesa Tudravu says the decision to work from home was a precautionary measure as they were not in direct contact or primary contacts of the staff who are part of the operations in the COVID-19 Incident Management Team and have tested positive for COVID-19.

He says they are awaiting test results that will be conducted for these primary contacts.

Doctor Tudravu, the Permanent Secretary for Health Doctor James Fong and the Head of the Health Protection, Dr Aalisha Sahukhan have been identified as secondary contacts of these cases and they have been working from home since Friday.

He says the test results will determine how soon they will be returning to work.

Tudravu says working from home and their headquarters is the same.

The Health Ministry earlier confirmed that the services of the COVID–19 Incident Management Team continue with contingency plans activated.
