Deans rugby is back! After two years of absence, the Fiji Rugby Union and Vodafone today announced their extended partnership in launching the 2022 Vodafone Secondary Schools Deans Competition.

Around 8,840 players from 89 schools will be participating this year with 182 boys teams and 77 girls teams from the Under 14 to Under 19 grade.

Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union Acting President, Savenaca Muamua says the excitement around the Deans competition has grown following the Super Rugby Pacific debut season of the Fijian teams this year.

Meanwhile, the Eastern Zone competition will start this weekend with Ratu Kadavulevu School taking on Queen Victoria School in the Under 18 grade at the RKS school ground.

Other zones will begin their competitions from next week.
