Youth clubs of Dawasamu village in Tailevu have taken a significant step towards becoming responsible and law-abiding citizens after they took up a Law and Order training programme by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

There was a total of six youth clubs that took up this program and completed it yesterday.

During the program's official closing ceremony, the Central Divisional Manager, Etuate Bari, emphasised the importance of integrity, discipline and perseverance in personal and professional lives.

Bari says the valuable life skills will contribute to their future and will make them realise how the law is bound to protect every individual.

The six youth clubs also participated in a Mobile Skills Training program organised by the Foundation for Rural Integrated Enterprises & Development (FRIEND Fiji) on activated charcoal, coconut oil, and soap-making.

This was carried out so that the youths are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge that will assist them in earning a living for their family.
