Davule says it is an absolute honour to represent the Fiji Police during this sporting event and he will try his best to claim the title this year in his category.

He says it will not be a walk in the park for him and his team knowing the threats their opponent from the RFMF are bringing into the competition this year.

The Lomaiviti man says he was happy with his performance because he knows the difference between international fighters and the locals and the local boxers are very tough.

In the 80kg to 86kg Cruiserweight division, Army’s boxer Samuela Naqari kept his composer throughout the three rounds to defeat his opponent from the Fiji Police Force in a tough clash.

The Nayavutoka Ra man says this was the third time he defeated his opponent from Police having fought him twice already this year.

Naqari says taking part in this category this year is challenging but he is glad he trained and prepared well for it.

He says he will up his game in the remaining fights and hopefully win his weight category.

The boxing competition will continue today and the final will be played tomorrow at the LICI Multipurpose Court.

Meanwhile, Police won the Ratu Sukuna Bowl Cricket competition after defeating Army by 117 runs.
