The Suva Magistrates Court has refused to grant bail to 28-year-old Abdul Imraan and 26-year-old Zahid Hassan for the alleged murder of a man in Suva.
The two have been charged with the alleged murder of 33-year-old Savinesh Kumar at McArthur Street in Suva earlier this month.
It is alleged that the two assaulted Kumar causing serious injuries resulting in his death.
The two appeared before Magistrate Krishan Prasad where Tirath Sharma represents Imraan and Krishan Kumar represents Hassan.
The counsels requested their bail on strict conditions, however, Magistrate Prasad refused the bail stating that this is a matter of public interest.
The matter will be called in the Suva High Court on the 3rd of May.
