Wasting possession is something that the Fijian Drua 7s side will try and avoid today as they prepare for their McDonald’s Fiji Coral Coast 7s semi final against the Fiji Men’s 7s side this afternoon.

Drua 7s captain Mesulame Dolokoto says there was a lot of throwing the ball around anyhow which cost them possession in most parts of their games from day 1 and yesterday.

Dolokoto says possession will be a major work-on for them today.

The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua and Fiji Water Flying Fijians hooker says he is happy with how they have been performing so far, considering the fact that they just started 7s training on Wednesday before the tournaments started on Thursday.

The Drua 7s fought tooth and nail against the BLK Lavidi Brothers in the second quarter final yesterday and came out victorious 8-5 in the end.

The Drua will take on the Fiji Men’s 7s in the second semi final while the Manu Samoa 7s will play the McDonald’s Mike Friday Select 7s in the first semi final.

The Men’s semi finals will kick off at 12.30pm today and the final will be at 5pm this afternoon.

In the Youth grade, Tubarua Youth will play Southland Broncos in the first semi final, and Bilo Bar Aflame Brothers will play Dominion Brothers in the second semi final.

The Youth semi finals will begin at 11.50am today and the Youth final will be at 4.30pm this afternoon.

The Women’s semi finals will kick off at 11.10am today and the final will begin at 4pm today.
