Construction of 2 dormitories at QVS expected to begin later this year

The two new dormitories at the Queen Victoria School will have the capacity to house 200 beds.

The design work and planning on the state-of-the-art dormitories is almost complete.

While receiving an update from the stakeholders of the project Minister for Education, Rosy Akbar thanked the Indonesian government for their continued support on the project.

Akbar added that this will be one of the best facilities Fijian children will enjoy upon completion.

Akbar says she has full faith in the team here adding they can be rest assured that their investment in allowing Fiji to provide a more conducive learning environment at QVS will be put to good use.

The Ambassador for Indonesia to Fiji, Raden Mohammad Carnadi said that as a development partner for Fiji they are honoured to be part of this project.

The ground-breaking ceremony for the project is expected to be done in the coming weeks and the construction is expected to take 36 weeks to complete.
