Serious concerns are being raised by people living in Savusavu about the X-ray machine at the Savusavu Subdivisional Hospital which has not been working for the last two months.

Savusavu Chamber of Commerce President, Avikash Pillay says currently, patients who need to be X-rayed are being sent to Zens Medical Centre.

However, Zens Medical Centre closes at 5pm.

while speaking to fijivillage News, Pillay asks what happens if there is a major accident after 5pm, where will the patients be taken to be X-rayed.

He says members of the Savusavu Chamber of Commerce are willing to help the Savusavu Hospital as this is for the betterment of their community and families.

Pillay says he also found out this morning that the Hematology Analyser which is used to conduct a complete blood count, has also not been working for more than 2 months.

We have sent questions to the Health Ministry. They are yet to respond.
