Former Athletics Fiji President Albert Miller has lashed out at the Association’s Executive Committee saying they have no grounds to remove him as President.
Miller is no longer the President after he was stood down following a vote of no confidence moved by the Executive Committee on Wednesday.
Miller said he was surprised by the action taken and the committee has no right to make such decisions.
Newly appointed Acting President Dr Ayoade Alakija said Albert Miller’s standing down as President is an internal matter.
Alakija added there are certain changes that need to be made within the association which includes constitutional matters and the election of a new committee to be effective until the next AGM in March next year.
While responding to Alakija’s comments, Miller said such changes cannot be made and a special general meeting should be called.
When Fijivillage contacted Alakija today, she refused to comment.
