The Fiji Airways Men's National 7s team finished their Bordeaux 7s campaign in sixth place after a 17-14 defeat to the United States in the fifth-place playoff.
Fiji raced to a 14-0 lead in the first half, with Vuiviawa Naduvalo scoring a double, but were unable to maintain their advantage after the break.
The Americans responded strongly in the second half, crossing through David Still, Will Chevalier, and Lucas Lacamp to secure the win.
Fiji ended the World Rugby Sevens Championship in sixth place on 36 points.
The Fijiana 7s side also finished sixth at the Bordeaux 7s after falling 24-12 to Canada in their fifth-place playoff match.
They finished in seventh place with 26 points on the Championship standings.
Both teams have also qualified for the 2026/2027 World Rugby 7s Series.

Meanwhile, host France defeated New Zealand 14-5 to claim the men's title, and Australia beat New Zealand 26-19 to win the women's division.
