Members of the Pecani Church in Cunningham are pleading to the public for assistance in the renovation of their old tin shed hall, which they have been using to conduct their Christmas service for the past 8 years.

Church Steward Timoci Lebacia says this Christmas will be their 8th Christmas conducting church services in their old hall that caters for about 131 church members.

He says for the past 8 years, they have been enduring all sorts of challenges, and it is through their faith in God that one day they will rebuild their hall.

The hall was destroyed in a fire in 2015.

Lebacia says whenever it rains, the members have to make adjustments because the tin shack is always wet, and he feels for the children and the elderly because most are prone to sickness from the wet conditions.

He says they have been given approval by the Suva City Council to go ahead with the project if their finances permit.

If you wish to assist, you can contact Lebacia on 7196 434/7471842.
