Ryan Crotty (left) and Sam Kane arrive in Fiji with the Crusaders and the Chiefs squad.

The undefeated BNZ Crusaders and the second placed team in the NZ conference, Gallagher Chiefs have arrived in Suva for the much anticipated Super Rugby clash at the ANZ Stadium on Friday night.

They arrived at Nausori Airport in the last hour and are just about to leave for Suva.

The Chiefs will make their way to Novotel Hotel in Lami while the Crusaders will head to Holiday Inn.

They will have separate traditional welcome ceremonies at the hotels this evening.

Meanwhile three Crusaders with Fiji links, Jone Macilai, Manasa Mataele and Setareki Tamanivalu are among the Crusaders travelling squad to Fiji.

Their dream of playing high level rugby in front of their friends and families is slowly becoming a reality with just days left for the much anticipated match against the Chiefs.

It will also be special for Manasa Mataele and his uncle Setareki Tamanivalu to play in front of their family if they are picked in the team.

Mataele last ran on the tracks at the ANZ Stadium in the 2014 Coca Cola Games when he was part of the gold medal winning Marist Brothers High School 4x100 metres Intermediate Boys team.

Jone Macilai who was out for most part of the season has also been called in to be part of the unbeaten Crusaders squad.

Some of the All Blacks in the Crusaders team who have arrived include Matt Todd, Israel Dagg, Wyatt Crockett, Ryan Crotty, Sam Whitelock, Owen Franks and Joe Moody.

The Crusaders will take on the Chiefs at 7.35pm Friday at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

Rugby fans in and outside Suva can now purchase tickets for the game from any Post Fiji outlet across the country.

Fiji Sports Council Chief Executive Officer and Super Rugby 2017 Steering Committee Chair Litiana Loabuka says it’s now or never to get tickets before Friday.

Loabuka adds that for every ticket purchased from Post Fiji Ltd, a $2 fee.
