Springboks star Cheslin Kolbe is moving from Toulouse to Toulon for a world record rugby transfer fee on a three-year deal worth a reported 1 million euros per season.

European media outlets are reporting that Kolbe has been lured to Toulon for a 1.8 million euros fee.

Kolbe's new salary is still reportedly short of the 1.5 million euros a year paid to All Blacks great Dan Carter by French club Racing 92.

The 27-year-old, who joined Toulouse from the Stormers in 2017, took to social media to thank the club and its fans for four memorable years.
