Chaudhry invited to lead FSC Board

Fiji Labour Party Leader Mahendra Chaudhry has been invited to lead the Fiji Sugar Corporation Board.

Minister for Sugar Industry, Charan Jeath Singh says he has already had discussions with Chaudhry.

He says he has sent his recommendation to the Prime Minister’s Office for them to endorse his appointed which is expected to happen on Friday.

When questioned why he wants Chaudhry for the job, Singh says their party policy is clear that they want inclusivity and everyone to be involved in the decision-making process.

He adds they want to also take advantage of Chaudhry’s experience.

When contacted, Chaudhry says he has not received anything official and will not comment on it yet.
