One of the biggest challenges that the Shop N Save Fijian Warriors team is facing is the change in mindset.
Head Coach Cohen Politini highlighted this to fijivillage Sports saying this is something common when it comes to Fijian players in a high pressure high performance environment.
Politini says that is why one of the things that they drive the team on is values, which will then help support and build a base for them growing up.
He says it is a new environment for the players that have been selected from the Vodafone Vanua Cup, there is also a lot of peer coaching going on with those that have been exposed to this environment assisting the new boys acclimatise.
The coach says the camaraderie has built among the players making them a bit more comfortable and also understanding the demand on them as individual players.
The Fiji Rugby Union says they are proud to stand in solidarity with Pinktober, dedicating their upcoming match to raising awareness and funds for breast cancer.
FRU Chair John Sanday says in a significant show of support, all gate takings from the Fijian Warriors vs Australian Country Stockman Rugby clash will be donated to the Fiji Cancer Society.
The game kicks off at 2pm Thursday with tickets selling for $5 at King Charles Park, Nadi.
