Despite suffering from a hamstring strain last year, Nathaniel Chand clocked 10.80s during the heats for the intermediate boys 100m.

Chand says recovering from his injury has motivated him to do better in this year's Coca-Cola games in May.

The man from Matuku in Lau aims to win gold in the intermediate boy's 200m and 4x100m final in the Suva Grammar School Battle of the Colours competition.
