Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the road accident along Queens Highway in Sigatoka where a 47-year-old woman passed away yesterday afternoon.
The woman was travelling to Nadi in a vehicle with three others when their car was allegedly hit by another vehicle headed to Suva.
Police say the woman was pronounced dead on arrival at the Korolevu Health Centre.
Three other people were treated and sent home.
The 45-year-old driver sustained minor injuries and was treated and sent home.
