Fiji Airways Men’ National 7s team coach Ben Gollings says Elia Canakaivata is a big loss to the team as he brought a different dimension.
Canakaivata has joined the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua after an impressive season with the 7s team.
Gollings says it is fantastic that he has got the opportunity to join the Drua.
He adds this also gives an opportunity for new talent.
Fiji will play Japan in their first game tonight at 8.52pm, we face Spain at 4.15pm tomorrow and will later face the USA at 8pm tomorrow.
The Cup quarters will start at 3.25pm Sunday, the Cup semis start at 7.45pm Sunday and the final kicks off at 11pm Sunday.
