The Fiji Water Flying Fijians will be defending their Pacific Nations Cup title against 5 teams this year compared to 3 teams last year.

This year’s competition will see the return of Canada and the USA.

In last year’s competition, the Flying Fijians won all their matches against Samoa, Tonga and Japan.

World Rugby today unveiled the vibrant new brand, format and fixtures for the reimagined Pacific Nations Cup, which is designed to expand rugby’s reach and accelerate competitiveness within a new global competition structure.

The tournament will run from the 23rd of August to the 21st of September.

The Flying Fijians have been drawn in Pool A alongside Samoa and Tonga, while Canada is in Pool B with the USA and Japan. The Flying Fijians will host Samoa in their opening PNC match on August 23rd at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
