Timely assistance was today afforded to the CWM Hospital from the IHG Group of Hotels where money collected from the grab-and-go breakfast at the Grand Pacific Hotel Car Park will go towards the Oncology Unit.

IHG's FNPF Fiji Hotels Area General Manager, Lachlan Walker says their partnership with the Ministry of Health for the CWM Hospital Oncology unit exemplifies their unwavering dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Walker says they have always recognised the importance of giving back to the communities that welcome them with open arms and this initiative allows them to extend their commitment beyond providing exceptional hospitality.

He says this is their second event as part of IHG’s Global Giving For Good Month.

Walker says every dollar raised during this event will be directly donated to the CWM Hospital Oncology Ward and they will match it dollar for dollar, providing crucial support for their vital work.

The Area General Manager says they firmly believe that by uniting their efforts and nurturing community partnerships, they can make a significant impact on the lives of those who bravely battle cancer.

He says in addition, all coffee sales with the colourful local design, 5 percent of the value of every cup goes to Rise Beyond the Reef, specifically to support school based programs.

Apakuki Nalawa from InsideOut, who was providing entertainment says he hopes more people give back to their communities.
