COVID-19: Fever clinics set up in Lautoka

COVID-19: Fever clinics set up in Lautoka

Chief Medical Advisor Doctor Jemesa Tudravu

Fever clinics have been set up in Lautoka.

The clinics are at Punjas Health Centre Carpark, Cakau Street and Kamikamica Health Centre Carpark, Kamikamica Park. People can visit the fever clinics from 8am to 10pm on weekdays and from 8am to 4pm on the weekends.

Chief Medical Advisor, Doctor Jemesa Tudravu says people with fever like symptoms can check themselves at the fever clinics rather than going to a health centre which can be detrimental if results are positive for coronavirus.

Dr. Tudravu says they are intending to increase this number and open other clinics around the country.

He adds the focus of the fever clinic is to increase the Ministry’s capabilities to be able to identify the people who are potentially a COVID-19 suspect.
