The Fiji Rugby Union Super 7s Series will now be known as the Fun Flavor Super 7s Series after CJ Patel was announced as the major sponsor today.

$20,000 is the prize money for the Men’s Series winner while the Women’s Series winner will get $10,000.

FRU CEO, John O’Connor says with the assistance of their sponsor, they will assist teams with a $500 preparation grant, playing kits and rugby balls.

CJ Patel Pacific Limited Group General Manager, Pranil Singh says Fun Flavor has been an iconic brand in Fiji for decades and to associate it with Sevens Rugby reinforces their desire to support the development of grass-root Rugby in the country.

There will be 16 men and 12 women’s teams playing in the first leg of the Fun Flavor Super 7s Series at Lawaqa Park this week.

The women’s pool games kicks off on Thursday followed by the men’s competition on Friday and the finals are set to take place on Saturday.
