South Pacific’s largest commercial broadcaster and parent company of Legend FM, FM96, Viti FM, Navtarang, Radio Sargam and fijivillage, Communications Fiji Limited is looking at delivering an after tax profit of around $1 million for the year ended December 31st 2021.

CFL Board Chair, William Parkinson says the company has continued to perform strongly in both Fiji and Papua New Guinea, tracking ahead of budget and looked like delivering the after tax profit of $1 million compared to the $824,394 profit in 2020.

Parkinson says the CFL teams in both countries have taken on lessons learnt early in the pandemic and turned them into a strong result despite the extraordinary situation in 2021.

He says CFL’s focus through this difficult time has been on preserving the safety and well being of the team first so the improved financial performance is a real bonus.

While making the announcement, Parkinson also confirmed that CFL has declared an interim dividend of 4 cents per share for the 2021 financial year.

The dividend will be paid on 4th January 2022, the registry will close on December 22nd and Ex-Benefit will be marked on 17th December 2021.
