Swire Shipping Fijian Drua coach Mick Byrne is impressed with the work rate of lock Kitione Salawa in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific.

Salawa injured his shoulder during their game against the Chiefs last season and was out for the remainder of the season.

Byrne says Salawa is getting better and enjoys being out in the field, and he is starting to become his physical self again.

The Head Coach adds the 22-year-old has suffered some major injuries in the past, but he is doing great in training.

Salawa’s impressive form last week against the Hurricanes earned him the fijivillage Fan Player of the Match award.

He is expected to be named in the Drua side that will host Moana Pasifika at 2.05pm this Saturday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

Meanwhile, the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women will face the Waratahs at 4pm Sunday in the Super Rugby Women's final.

In other Super Rugby Pacific matches, the Crusaders will face the Rebels at 7.05pm Friday, the Waratahs will meet the Chiefs at 9.35pm Friday, the Brumbies will play the Hurricanes at 4.35pm Saturday, the Highlanders will meet the Force at 7.05pm Saturday, and the Reds will take on the Blues at 9.35pm Saturday.
