Businessman charged with 67 counts of obtaining financial advantage

Raman Rajeshwar Prasad, who is charged with 67 counts of obtaining financial advantage and one count of possession of property suspected of being proceeds of crime, has been remanded in custody.

Prasad appeared before Suva Magistrate Pulekeria Low this afternoon.

It was heard in court that Prasad allegedly dishonestly obtained $57,180 through BSP Bank online and the M-PAiSA platform between January 7th 2022 and January 7th 2023.

All disclosures have been served to Prasad.

The case has been adjourned to the 25th of this month.
