The Lelean Memorial School’s inter-house competition that is currently underway at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva is providing interesting results with fierce battles on the track and field as Bulu house currently leads the medal tally.

Vice Principal and event manager Ulaiasi Vakatawakoula expressed excitement over the intense competition and standout performances, emphasizing that Lelean is not just participating but aiming to make a strong impact at the Eastern Zone and later at the Coca-Cola Games.

He says their goal is not just to make up numbers, but they want to bring home medals as the school prepares to take its best athletes to the next level.

He adds that the shift in venue has led to a surge in student involvement, with over 1,400 students taking part, which is an increase from last year.

The Assistant Principal says the level of competition has intensified, with six school records from last year broken today, showcasing the talent and determination of the athletes.

Meanwhile, Bulu House currently leads the medal tally with 6 gold, 5 silver, and 1 bronze, Mateinaniu House trails in second place with 6 gold, 1 silver, and 5 bronze, Naucukidi House is third with 2 gold, 6 silver, and 3 bronze, and Varani House is in 4th place with 2 gold, 4 silver, and 6 bronze.
