Budget should not be used to advance political agenda - Kubuabola

Minister for National Security and Defence Ratu Inoke Kubuabola.

The budget should not be used to advance political agenda nor should the RFMF or Fiji Police Force be used as platforms to gain political mileage.

Minister for National Security and Defence Ratu Inoke Kubuabola says that as the Minister responsible, the irresponsible and misleading comments regarding the RFMF and the Fiji Police Force made by SODELPA MP Mosese Bulitavu cannot go unchallenged.

Kubuabola says the members of the Opposition have misled the parliament by stating that the crime rate in Fiji has increased.

He says that the overall crime rate in Fiji has decreased by 13.3 percent.

Kubuabola also highlighted that members of the Fiji Police Force deserve the pay rise as it was long overdue.

He also cleared the air on the bush-masters that were seen on our streets a few weeks ago.

Kubuabola says the Ministry and the two disciplinary forces will make certain that Fiji remains a safe and secure home for all Fijians.
