British American Tobacco becomes the first organization to launch 'I Recycle Hub' with PRF

British American Tobacco is the first corporate organization to implement the 'I Recycle Hub' at their factory in Nabua.

BAT Fiji General Manager Sam Dormor says this is a significant milestone for a company that has more than 68 years of heritage in Fiji.

Dormor says as business leaders in Fiji, it is logical that they take greater responsibility for the waste and ensure that it does not end up in landfills.

He says the 'I Recycle Hub' and their partnership with Waste Recyclers Fiji Limited will allow them to achieve their zero waste landfill target.

Meanwhile, Pacific Recycling Foundation Founder and Waste Recyclers Fiji Limited CEO, Amitesh Deo says the 'I Recycle Hub' concept will allow BAT to align its sustainability agenda with PRF's waste management and recycling programs.

Deo says this will give them an opportunity to inculcate best practices of proper waste management and recycling through a training program with BAT Fiji's workforce.

Deo is urging businesses to start thinking about the benefits of recycling as many recyclables like paper, cardboard, PET bottles, tin cans, aluminium cans and metal can be recycled.
