McDonald’s Fiji Managing Director Marc McElrath acknowledges the government for bringing the nightclub hours back to a decent time as this will now help McDonald’s to operate for longer hours.

McElrath highlighted this in an interview with fijivillage News as he says previously McDonald's couldn't operate 24 hours because, there were cases of drunkards threatening their staff, and breaking restaurant windows after coming out of nightclubs.

He says they are now reassessing the situation on whether to open the restaurant until 1am or for longer hours.

The Managing Director further says the business has been doing good this year and is on the path of continuing growth in the country.

McElrath further says their 5th branch will open in Nakasi this December which will employ around 60 people.

He says this is a $7 million investment.

The Managing Director also says there's a possibility of opening 2 more restaurants by the middle or end of next year.
