Panthers star Brian To’o has been ruled out of tonight's semi-final clash with the Parramatta Eels due to a minor ankle injury he picked up during training.

Brent Naden has been named to replace To'o in the starting line-up.

Coach Ivan Cleary says the Panthers are in great shape to recover from last weekend’s shock qualifying final loss to the Rabbitohs when they face Parramatta tonight.

Having defeated South Sydney in their last five encounters, Penrith was expected to knock the Bunnies off last week and advance to a grand final qualifier.

Cleary says he still has strong beliefs in the Panthers premiership credentials but it's just a different experience.

The Panthers will be bolstered with the return of three stars from injury including fullback Dylan Edwards, prop Moses Leota and interchange forward Scott Sorensen.

Meanwhile, the Sea Eagles will meet the Rabbitohs next week after demolishing the Roosters 42-6 last night.

The Panthers will take on the Eels at 9.50 tonight.
