India still remains in lockdown however, restrictions are all set to be lifted, especially for the entertainment industry.

Shootings of ads, shows, and films will begin over the next few days as the new Government Resolution gets Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s approval.

It seems the first film to start shooting would be Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’.

Alia Bhatt’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ could be one of the first films to go on floors.

Federation of Western India Cine Employees General Secretary, Ashok Dubey says Sanjay Leela Bhansali was already shooting in Filmcity and his set is still there.

He says the possibility is that his movie will be the first to resume shooting with the necessary precautions, once the permission is granted by Chief Minister.

Reportedly, the Chief Minister had been in touch with the producers, broadcasters and trade bodies from across industries.

A team appointed by him has also closely looked into the standard operating procedures being devised by different bodies operating in the film and entertainment production businesses.

This will be the first film of actress Alia Bhatt with the filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

She was supposed to star opposite Salman Khan in ‘Inshallah’.

However, things did not seem to have worked out well for them and the movie got shelved.
