Bolaca and Ikanikoda help BLK Lavidi Brothers secure QF spot in Coral Coast 7s

Former Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s reps Napolioni Bolaca and Livai Ikanikoda have helped the BLK Lavidi Brothers defeat Bula Bay 7s 29-17 in their third pool match and secure a place in the McDonald’s Fiji Coral Coast 7s Men’s quarter final this afternoon.

Lavidi Brothers scored 5 tries and 2 conversions with Bolaca scoring the final try of the match after the siren sounded.

Meanwhile, Manu Samoa staged an impressive comeback in the second half to secure a 12-all draw with Ratu Filise in their third pool match today.

In other results, in the youth category, Navala Youth defeated Pacific Mana 12-0, U18 Japan beat Village Boys 24-10, Sunnybank Dragons edged Saunaka Youth 17-15, Tubarua Youth defeated Aflame Brothers 15-0, Sausauvou Taveuni Youth defeated NOI Nabua Stallions 26-10, Southland Broncos thrashed Sacramento Kaji 50-0, Pacific Nomads thumped Nauru 43-0, and Dominion Brothers defeated Nauru Youth 22-0.

In the Women’s category, Mt Masada defeated Pacific Nomads Women 45-0, NZ Development thrashed Tagimoucia 45-0, Tuva Women defeated Pacific Nomads 21-12, Seahawks beat Ezers 12-0, Tagimoucia defeated Lava City Savusavu 15-5, and Bilo Bar Aflame Sisters thumped Bluegas Lilian Amazons 29-0.

The Youth quarter finals will kick off at 3.30 this afternoon, the semi finals will begin at 11.50am tomorrow and the Youth final will be at 4.30pm tomorrow.

The Women’s semi finals will kick off at 11.10am tomorrow and the final will begin at 4pm tomorrow.

The Men’s quarter finals will kick off at 4.55pm today, the semi finals will be at 12.30pm tomorrow and the final will be at 5pm tomorrow.
