Bolaca, Wainiqolo, Nakoci and Uluinasau up for World 7s Player of the Year Award

Two players each from the Fiji Men’s 7s and the Fijiana 7s teams have been selected to contest the World Rugby 7s Player of the Year Award.

Olympic gold medalist and former National 7s players Napolioni Bolaca and Jiuta Wainiqolo are two of the four players vying for the title.

They will be up against New Zealand's Scott Curry and Marcos Moneta of Argentina.

Fijiana 7s players Alowesi Nakoci and Reapi Uluinasau are two of the four women who will contest the World Rugby Women’s 7s Player of the Year award.

They will be up against New Zealand Sarah Hirini and France Anne-Cecile Ciofani (Sio-fani).

Wallabies centre Samu Kerevi will be up against his captain, Michael Hooper in the World Rugby Men’s 15s Player of the Year. Both Wallabies players will be up against Maro Itoje of England and Antoine Dupoint of France.

In the Women’s 15s Player of the Year Award, England’s Zoe Aldcroft and Poppy Cleall will contest the award against France Caroline Boujard and Laura Sansus.

Rugby fans are expected to vote for the players and results will be released from the 6th to the 10th of next month.
